Our Grilled Sun-Dried Octopus
Sun-dried octopus is one of the finest and most traditional Greek island appetizers, blending the unique taste of the sea with the art of sun aging. The octopus is draped over a rope and left to dry in the hot sun, releasing its moisture. The sun and sea breeze give it its distinct aroma. It is then grilled to perfection and pairs wonderfully with Greek ouzo.

Traditional Greek Cooked Dishes
At Akrotiri, we honor traditional Greek cuisine. Our traditional Greek dishes are freshly prepared daily, following recipes passed down through generations and using only the freshest ingredients from Milos. Most ingredients are organic and grown in our own garden.
Taste delicious and authentic flavors such as our moussaka, “kleftiko” (local free-range lamb or goat) in parchment paper, “gemista”, mom’s “keftedes” (traditional Greek meatballs), Greek dolmades, and our traditional grandmother’s “tiropitari” (cheese pie).

What people say about us
We liked it so much we came back for a second dinner. They serve typical dishes, staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very romantic. If you want a table on the sand close to the water, reservation is recommended. Must try: tzatziki, kleftedes, pitarakia, and spicy feta dip.

This was the best meal we had on our trip to Greece this summer. It was not just the food but the whole experience. The staff are warm and welcoming. And the food. Truly one of my favorite meals not just in Greece but on our travels everywhere this year. Get the stuffed squid. And if you think you don’t like octopus, then try the sundried grilled octopus here and have your mind changed.

The best octopus salad ever! Although it is pricey, it is reasonable considering the quality of the food, the service and the ambiance. Tables are on the beach sand and it is ideal to go just before sunset so that you can enjoy sky's colors and then the relaxing atmosphere as night creeps in whilst enjoying the excellent cuisine.

Best moussaka I had in Greece. And the local, homemade mackerel cooked in vinegar was really good, very tasteful - I totally recommend if you want to try maybe something new and local. Nice location. And also very good service, very kind and professional.

We had a lovely dinner. The Gilt-head sea bream was delicious! And they also prepped the fish Infront of our table, taking out the biggest bones. Nice service! The stuffed tomatos was also delicious.
